| Ayesha J. Gallion, a former reporter for The West Orange Chronicle, received her B.A. in English with a concentration in journalism from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Gallion has been a high school English teacher for the Newark, New Jersey school system. She has also been an academic lesson planner for Americorps and the Baltimore Police Athletic League. Her writing has been published in The Baltimore City Paper, Go Newark’s e-zine, The East Orange Record, The News Record of Maplewood and South Orange. She also wrote "Atonia" featured in the anthology Role Call: A Generational Anthology of Social and Political Black Art and Literature. Most recently, Ms. Gallion was the associate news producer for The Star-Ledger’s online affiliate NJ. com.She now is an editor for a home furnishings trade magazine. Ms. Gallion has appeared on the Wake Up Club Morning Show of New York City's 98.7 KISS FM. She and her husband have also been resources for Parents Anonymous of New Jersey. Ms. Gallion lives in Union, NJ with her husband and their daughter. |
