I have written extensively about trends in lighting and accessories and have interviewed industry leaders/designers such as Yves Behar, Nadja Swarovski, and Torde Boontje. These were during my glory days at Home Lighting & Accessories magazine where I served as associate editor under the fabulous Linda Longo. I freelanced for Interior Design magazine's online news section Designwire Daily as well.  
 
Cut my teeth in online news publishing when I was associate news producer at NJ.com under Dean Betz and before this, the sole newspaper reporter for the West Orange Chronicle under Anthony Puglisi.
 
I'm a 2008 Geraldine R. Dodge Fellow and observed the effects of creative writing in rural destinations during a visit to the historic Puna district in Pahoa, Hawaii at the Kalani Oceanside Retreat.
 
Inspired by the challenges of stepparenting, I wrote No More Baby's Mama Drama, published via Kensington in 2005. I have since discussed the challenges of step-parenting in The Star-Ledger, Sister2Sister and on New York City's 98.7 KISS FM, where I was twice a guest. 
 
I hold an M.A. in English, with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies from Rutgers University in Newark. I am working on nurturing my fiction, as women's storytelling is extremely meaningful to me. From time to time, I will write a poem or two -- although not nearly as many as I did when I was a journalism student at Morgan State University.
